Worn by ordained monks only. Same as Soto style, but with slightly shorter sleeves (30”) and slightly shorter skirt with traditional seven box pleats. Ties inside the sleeves and at the waist to secure the sleeves while serving or working. Summer robes made of 100% high-quality medium weight cotton; winter robes made of high-quality medium weight dress twill.
